Tips to Choose the Perfect NPC Bikini Suit

NPC Bikini Suit color? Suit Cut? Suit Size? Oh My!

The most exciting part about competing in bikini, second to getting healthy and fit, is finding “the suit”. It’s like finding “the dress” for your wedding, but with a lot less material. You will want to show off your physique while still looking classy and elegant, which is why I went with Vicky Ross Fit for my first NPC bikini suit, and every other one thereafter.

🖤 The first step in choosing a bikini is selecting a competition.

If you are a first time competitor, I suggest finding a competition closer to home to decrease your stress levels from traveling too far. Once you have found a competition that best suits you, make sure it is approximately 9 weeks out. This seems like a long time, however, these custom suits take weeks to create.

🖤 Give yourself at least the first week to decide what color suit you would like to wear.

Take into consideration your complexion, hair color and eye color because balance is key on stage. I advise women to go to a dress shop and try on various dress to see what color looks best. Vicky suggests brown-haired women go with purple, maroon, red, olive, moss green and jade green. My first suit was various shades of emerald green.

Women with very dark, or black hair, look amazing in bright colors, such as yellow, white, orange, light green and light purple. Blonde-haired women look great in pink, turquoise, light blue, red, black or even gold. Women with red hair look great in emerald green, royal blue, purple and teal. The color of the suit may seem like the hardest part, but do not dwell on it! You will shine on stage no matter the color. If you feel best in a certain color, go for it!

Confidence is the best thing you can wear on stage!

🖤 Now you have the color figured out, it is time to decide the design of your NPC bikini suit.

For my NPC bikini suit, also known as the “Ivy Superhero” on Vicky Ross Fit’s website, I wanted something different that would stand out, so I picked a webbed leaf design, which went from lighter green in the middle to a deep emerald. There are many options to choose from and Vicky is always up for a new project; however, common designs include the ombré, sequin, and full crystal bikinis. Most women choose the ombré effect because it is flattering on most women and creates a “full bust” look. The best way to bust the “bust issue” is to order your suit with molded cups ! These suits fit more like a bra and mold your chest perfectly.

🖤 After your make your decisions on these details, it is time to order your competition suit!

Ordering your suit approximately 6 to 8 weeks out so it gives Vicky enough time to create and ship your suit. Take the first step to 1st place and order with Vicky Ross Fit.

Good luck and happy suit hunting!
